It worked great out of the box with FreeBSD. No special setup, just booted up and started using it. My motherboard is able to boot from it which was an unexpected treat.
It is easy set up, but card puts off lots of heat. set up extra fan for cooling will be great. Still a great card, Thanks.
It’s awesome, But no drivers are sent with it so you have to go to their web site to download drivers to even use the card.
Flashed this to IT mode to use as a non-RAID controller in an unRAID server box, following instructions on the unRAID forums. Couldn't be happier with the controller.
This card Works flawlessly in my FreeNAS box with eight hard drives (7K4000). The OS saw all the drives, and I implemented ZFS RAIDZ2 with no issues. The PCB is also pleasantly thick, and the whole thing seems very well
